Types of signs

Pedestrian crossing – square

The traffic sign indicates a pedestrian crossing marked with V 7 sign, especially where the driver would not otherwise expect it, e. g. outside a junction.

Functionality:

  • Detection of approaching cars and their speed
  • Pedestrian detection
  • Environmental sensor (temperature, humidity, barometric pressure)
  • Car counting
  • Pedestrian counting
  • Optical or acoustic signalling
  • Data collection, analytics
  • Communication between signs
  • Cloud application

Children or Pedestrian crossing ahead

The traffic sign draws attention to a place or section of a road where children frequently move or congregate in the vicinity, cross the road or where there is an increased risk of children suddenly running onto the road.

It gives an advance warning in a municipality, for example in an uncluttered section of the road, and outside the municipality always at a pedestrian crossing.

Functionality:

  • Detection of incoming cars and their speed
  • Pedestrian detection
  • Environment sensor (temperature, humidity, barometric pressure)
  • Car counting
  • Pedestrian counting
  • Optical or acoustic signalling
  • Data collection, analytics
  • Communication between signs
  • Cloud application

Stop sign

The traffic sign indicates a minor road; the sign may also be used inside a larger or more complex intersection where the driver is commanded, repeated or emphasised to give way and where the driver is obliged to stop the vehicle; the sign is also used in front of a level crossing when it is necessary to command the driver to stop the vehicle.

Functionality:

  • Detection of incoming cars and their speed
  • Pedestrian detection
  • Environment sensor (temperature, humidity, barometric pressure)
  • Car counting
  • Pedestrian counting
  • Optical or acoustic signalling
  • Data collection, analytics
  • Communication between signs
  • Cloud application

Give way!

The traffic sign indicates a minor road; this sign may also be used inside a larger or more complex intersection or at a place where the driver is commanded, repeated or emphasised to give way.

Functionality:

  • Detection of incoming cars and their speed
  • Pedestrian detection
  • Environment sensor (temperature, humidity, barometric pressure)
  • Car counting
  • Pedestrian counting
  • Optical or acoustic signalling
  • Data collection, analytics
  • Communication between signs
  • Cloud application

Speed limit – speed signs

The sign prohibits the driver from exceeding the speed in kilometres per hour expressed by the number on the sign; the sign terminates the validity of the previous sign B 20a with a different indication.

Functionality:

  • Detection of incoming cars and their speed
  • Pedestrian detection
  • Environment sensor (temperature, humidity, barometric pressure)
  • Car counting
  • Pedestrian counting
  • Optical or acoustic signalling
  • Data collection, analytics
  • Communication between signs
  • Cloud application

Cloud application IISIGN

All IISIGN smart traffic signs can be connected to a custom cloud application that allows these signs to be remotely monitored, configured and read out measured parameters. Using these measured parameters, various statistics or reports can be generated regarding traffic and movement in a given location. At the same time, sensory information such as temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and more can be read out using the cloud application. A perfect overview of your IISIGN smart traffic sign portfolio, all on-line, the ideal access point to Smart City solutions.

Functionality:

  • Remote management and monitoring of the installed sign
  • Collection of traffic and traffic-related data
  • Creation of graphical outputs in the form of statistics and reports
  • Collection and analysis of sensory information
  • Detection of the functional status of installed signs
  • Possibility of using API interfaces for interfacing with other systems
  • On-line communication in the Smart City environment
